President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Jones Borteye Applerh, the former Executive Secretary of the Small Arms Commission, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of GIHOC Distilleries.
His appointment, effective from January 21, 2025, is subject to receiving the constitutionally required advice from the Governing Board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
In a statement issued by the President’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Callistus Mahama, the President congratulated Mr. Applerh on his new role. The statement also requested that Mr. Applerh formally accept or decline the appointment within 14 days of receipt, with the President extending his best wishes for success in the position.
