Gospel songstress, Mavis Asante, has disclosed that dressing fashionably is a ministry that attracts a multitude to God and expresses the need for Christians to embrace it.
According to her, the world is evolving, thus, a woman of God or a Christian doesn’t have to look outmoded or unfashionable, as that destroys the quality of worship in God.
Speaking on Max Morning Show in Accra on Thursday, the singer who doubles as a wife of a Prophet says being a fashionista is a ministry she is projecting to attract sinners, unbelievers, the poor, the needy and the weak to embrace the gospel.
”The Bible says everything we seek and all good gifts are from the Lord. It also goes further to say that cleanliness is next to godliness. So every beautiful thing, every nice thing, anything that uplifts the name of God, the heavens endorse,” she stated.
The “Obaatan” hitmaker maintained that wives of preachers had to channel their energies on their looks to shepherd the congregation in the right direction.
”If God gifts you, use it to uplift his name in order to strengthen the narrative that it’s all joy when you come to Christ. When you worship God, he will make you look refined, worthy and beautiful,” she added.
