Kotobabi Police Arrest Two Street Robbery Suspects

Two suspected street robbers have been arrested by the Kotobabi District Police Command.

An operation led by the intelligence patrol team on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, resulted in the capturing of the suspects.

The suspects, identified as Stephen Gletsu (37) and Mohammed Sheriff (20), clad in all-black attire, sped off after sighting the patrol team, prompting a chase.

An attempt to flee on foot around Roman Ridge proved futile, as the suspects were nabbed with a number of items retrieved from them.

The items retrieved were one Infinix mobile phone, one iPhone 12 Pro, one Samsung A1, one iPhone 15 Pro, one iPhone 13, one Infinix feature phone, one itel e phone, one Nokia feature phone, one Infinix X6528 phone, a necklace, and cash in the sum of Two Thousand Six Hundred and Ninety Ghana Cedis (GHC 2,690.00) and Two Dollars (USD 2).

The suspects have been remanded after confessing to their crimes and witnesses providing their official statements of how the crimes against them took place.

The suspects have been scheduled to appear before the court on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
