Legendary actor, Kofi Adjorlolo has disclosed that the lack of structure, protection, and long-term support for actors in the country has made the industry unattractive.
According to him, he will not encourage his child to embrace acting as a career.
Expressing his deep concerns in a recent interview, Kofi Adjorlolo indicated that there was no insurance policy to safeguard the life of actors as well as a welfare to cater for them when they become old.
”Honestly, the industry is tough. There’s no insurance, no proper welfare. We’re out here with nothing to fall back on,” he said.
Against this backdrop, the celebrated actor said he would not encourage his children to venture into the filmmaking profession.
“I wouldn’t encourage my children to go into acting,” he added.
His comments reflect growing frustrations among industry veterans who feel neglected despite years of service to Ghanaian entertainment.
