Ghanaian defender Jonas Adjetey is in seventh heaven after winning the 2024-25 Swiss Super League with FC Basel.
The 21-year-old rose quickly through the ranks at FC Basel from the under-21s to the senior side after joining from Berekum Chelsea in 2022.
This is FC Basel’s first title win since 2017,courtesy of an inspired Xherdan Shaqiri, who turned around a five-horse title race, starring a seven-game winning streak to secure the title.
Adjetey will feature in the 2025—26 UEFA Champions League for the Swiss giants led by former Switzerland midfielder Fabio Celestini,who took over in October 2023 when the team was last in the standings.
