Renowned gospel musician Mercy Amoah, known in the industry as Ohemaa Mercy, has expressed the need for religious leaders and individuals to join in one accord to pray for the country ahead of the general elections.
That, she said, will make peace, love, orderliness, and harmony reign on the day of the elections.
It is worth noting that Ghana will go to the polls on Saturday, December 7, to elect a president and members of parliament, which has recently caused lots of anxieties and tension in the country.
Speaking in an interview with the Max Morning Show in Accra on Wednesday, Ohemaa Mercy explained that elections were just opinions expressed through voting to elect a leader for the country.
In so doing, she urged all Ghanaians to remain calm and stay put during that day to elect a leader without any misunderstanding.
“Stay calm and stay within your lane after your vote. Let God take control over the elections and let God win on that day,” Ohemaa Mercy added.
She further said the time has come for pastors, prayer warriors, and the entire nation to pray for the country to witness a peaceful election.
The elections, Ohemaa Mercy said, were a major reason her Tehillah Concert was scheduled ahead of time to bring Christians and all Ghanaians to one place to pray and unite for God to take control over the country during and after the election.
