It is very critical that we focus on refereeing in Ghana – Henry Asante Twum

Date:

Ghana Football Association Communication Director, Henry Asante Twum has highlighted certain key areas that the Association is paying massive attention to regarding football in Ghana, with officiating being one

A regular pundit on the betPawa Premier League Show on Max TV, Coach Ebenezer Sefa opined that bad refereeing decisions are destroying football in Ghana. The Coach said this after a controversial penalty was awarded by referee Amadu Ibrahim during Asante Kotoko’s defeat to Aduana FC in the 2022/2023 MTN FA Cup.

Speaking on officiating issues in local football on the SportsPack Show on Max 89.7 FM he said: “There have been a few issues as usual. Officiating is at the center stage. I know there are some issues even in Division One. So it is very critical that we focus on that aspect”.

The Ghana Football Association assured that it will continue to provide equipment and other logistical support to enhance refereeing in Ghana after securing fifteen (15) additional Communications gadgets in January this year.
