Ghana’s Black Stars arrived in Luanda on Wednesday night, ready for their crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola scheduled for Friday evening.
The team traveled after completing three intensive training sessions in Accra and reached the Angolan capital safely.
Ghana heads into this penultimate match sitting third in Group F with two points from four games, trailing both Angola and Sudan in the standings.
A strong performance and victory against the group leaders are essential for the Black Stars to keep their AFCON qualification hopes alive.
The team is set to hold their final training session at Estadio 11 de Novembro in Luanda on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. local time. Angola, in impressive form, leads Group F with 12 points and remains unbeaten in the qualifiers.
Angola holds a 10-point lead over Ghana and is five points ahead of Sudan, who occupies second place. A draw or win for Sudan against Niger on Thursday will secure their qualification and eliminate Ghana from contention.
