I don’t regret marrying; I’m glad it has ended – Asamoah Gyan

Date:

Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, whose marriage to Gifty Sandra Dzamesi was dissolved by the court, says he does not regret getting married.

He clarified that although he had chosen to get married, he had chosen to dissolve the union after learning several things while it was in its place.

“During the marriage, a lot of things came up, which I didn’t even want to talk about, for so many years, but I decided to do the needful because of how things unraveled, I did my investigations and saw the truth and I took it to court,” Gyan popularly known as Baby Jet said

Gyan claimed to have gathered a substantial amount of proof to back up his court case seeking the annulment of the marriage.

The former Al Ain striker continued by saying he has a ton of evidence to back up his court petition seeking the dissolution of the marriage.

“The reason why we went to the court was that I annulled the marriage, and my wish has been granted because the things I unraveled were the truth.”

Answering a question as to whether he will re-marry, Asamoah Gyan giggled and said he was currently concentrating on taking care of his children, “and that is the most important thing. I am very, very happy with my life, I am a family man, my children like and love me and I also love and like all of them and so that is where my focus is.”

Asamoah Gyan’s attorney, Edwin Kusi-Appiah, has denied reports that his client was mandated by the court to give his ex-wife, Gifty Gyan, a gas station, two cars, a house in London, and other properties.

On October 31, 2023, reports circulating on social media stated that Gyan was mandated by the court to give Gifty GH˖25,000 per month as maintenance and care for their three children.

Kusi-Appiah, however, confirmed that Gifty already owned the aforementioned properties and that Gyan had won the legal battle.
