King Mswati III of Eswatini has been honoured with a grand durbar of chiefs and people of Asanteman at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
The colourful event is ongoing, with traditional rulers from across the Asante Kingdom arriving to pay homage to the visiting monarch.
King Mswati III is in Ghana from June 24 to 28, 2025, for an official visit that includes a series of high-profile engagements. On Wednesday, June 25, he was formally received at the Manhyia Palace by his host, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
As part of that day’s activities, the Eswatini king toured the Manhyia Museum, addressed members of the National House of Chiefs, and visited the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), rounding off a busy day of cultural and diplomatic exchanges.
