The suspect behind the attempted arson attack on Grace Mountain Ministries is set to face the court on Thursday, February 12.
On the evening of Monday, February 9, Kesse Okyerewaa Koranteng, who is in the grip of the Mile 7 District of the Tesano Division, attempted to set fire to the church founded by Pastor Elvis Agyemang.
Pastor Agyemang announced in his famous prayer livestream “Alpha Hour” on Tuesday, February 10, the ill intention of the suspect, which has led to the church being temporarily closed down for renovation and police investigation.
The church auditorium, prior to the attack, had usually been opened to the public to spend time in prayer.
The church’s security team reacted swiftly after noticing the suspect sprinkling petrol on a section of the auditorium and then setting fire to it.
The reasons for the arson attack till now are unknown, with some attributing it to being the “work of the devil”, while others insist the suspect may be mentally unstable.
