Hearts of Oak defeated Dreams FC 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Matchday 27 of the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
After only four minutes, the Phobians took the lead when Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored the first goal for the rainbow lads.
The reigning Ghana Premier League (GPL) champions showed their might by doubling their lead in the 12th minute through Seidu Suraj.
Before the break, Dreams FC equalized with Agyenim Mensah, who scored from the penalty spot in the 45th minute.
After the break, the Still Believe players were put under pressure, and Abdul Jalilu scored an own goal in the 49th minute to make it 3-1 for Hearts of Oak.
The Phobians were on the verge of losing the league crown, but they defeated Dreams FC to improve their prospects of finishing in the top four.
Meanwhile, for the first time since joining the Phobian club, Samuel Boadu has defeated Dreams FC as a coach.
In the three games he’s played against Dreams FC, he’s won one, drawn one, and lost one.
Hearts of Oak are now in third place with 45 points, while Dreams FC are in 13th place with 32 points after 27 games.
