GPL Week 6 Wrap: Hearts beat King Faisal, Kotoko pip Dreams

King Faisal 1-2 Hearts of Oak

Hearts snatched a vital win against King Faisal at the Nana Ameyaw Park.

Benjamin Afutu gave Hearts the lead before Kwadwo Frimpong drew King Faisal level.

Hearts won a late penalty which was converted by Manaf Umar to give them a win.

Eleven Wonders 1-1 Ashantigold

Eleven Wonders drew first blood in the 10th minute when Salifu Ibrahim finished home a good move.

Late in the game Samed Ibrahim scored to make it 1-1

Elmina Sharks 1-0 Inter Allies

Sharks who have had a good home record beat Inter Allies 1-0 at the Nduom Sports Stadium.

Benjamin Tweneboah converted from the spot to hand Sharks all three points.

Medeama 0-0 Liberty Professionals

Medeama SC were held to a goalless draw by Liberty at the Tarkwa T&A Park.

Dreams FC 0-1 Kotoko

Kotoko grabbed a very important win at the Theater of Dreams at Dawu.

A 20th minute strike from Imoro Ibrahim was enough to secure Coach Johnson Smith his first win.

Great Olympics 1-0 WAFA

Olympics continued their impressive form in the GPL as they swept away WAFA.

Gladson Awako’s first half goal separated the two sides as the ‘Dade boys’ recorded yet another win.

Legon Cities 1-2 Dwarfs

Legon Cities are yet to record a win in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

They were hoping to get their first win under Bashiru Hayford but Dwarfs midfielder Benjamin Acquah scored twice with Legon Cities getting a consolation from Joseph Adjei.

Bechem United 2-1 Karela

Bechem United have been the most impressive side in the GPL so far.

That manifested again as Stephen Owusu scored to put them ahead in the 46th minute.

Karela levelled things up through prolific striker Diawisie Taylor.

The game seemed to be heading into a draw until Listowell Amankonah scored for Bechem to make it 2-1.
