GPL Week 4 Preview: Hearts eye first win, Kotoko host Wonders

Date:

Week 4 of the Ghana Premier League (GPL)  will kick off on Friday November 19, 2021 and our first stop is at Berekum.

Kotoko have won 3 out of 3 and will be looking for the fourth win as they play host to Eleven Wonders in the GPL game .

Hearts of Oak are yet to win a GPL game and face a tough task against Ashantigold at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

1.Berekum Chelsea vs King Faisal

Berekum Chelsea are yet to win a game and come up against high-flying King Faisal.

Chelsea have been poor since the start of the season having picked only one point after three matches, one draw at home and two defeats at away.

Faisal have been in immense form since the opening day of the season as the have achieved an 100% run record after three matchdays.

The “Insha Allah” Boys have recorded wins against WAFA SC at home, Aduana Stars at away and AshantiGold SC at home.

2. Accra Lions vs Bechem United

Accra Lions are yet to win a game in their debut Ghana Premier League season. After their draw in their opening game, they have gone 2 games without a win.

They come up against a Bechem United side that have only lost once and won two. This will be a tough battle for Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.

3. Aduana vs RTU

An interesting game to look forward to. Aduana’s invincibility at home was broken by King Faisal. They are yet to win a game this term but their opponent have already shown fine form.

RTU have won one, lost one and drawn one, they will go into this game with lots of confidence but Aduana will also aim for their first win.

4. Kotoko vs Eleven Wonders

The Porcupine Warriors have been in superb form and won three out of three so far. They will look to grab the fourth against a struggling Eleven Wonders side who are yet to win a game.

The match at the Baba Yara Stadium will see the Kotoko fans come in their numbers to see their team consolidate their position at the top of the GPL table.

5. AshantiGold vs Hearts of Oak

Hearts need to find a win as soon as possible but come up against an Ashgold side who themselves are in trouble.

The miners have won just one game and that has seen them sack their manager Ernest Thompson. Hearts will approach this game with all the confidence they have because they need a win badly to kick start their season.

6. Elmina Sharks vs Bibiani Gold Stars

Sharks have not been able to bite teams this season and currently in the relelgation zone. For Gold Stars, they have had a good start to the season.

One win, one draw and a defeat to Kotoko is how their stats are looking like.

7. Great Olympics vs Dreams

A game that could be really tough to predict, both team have had a great start to the season though dreams have a defeat to their name, for Great Olympics it’s an opportuity to grab another three points.

8. WAFA vs Legon Cities

WAFA after their defeat to King Faisal will return to their favourite Sogokope grounds as they face Legon Cities.

Legon Cities have improved on their performances last season but a trip to the Red Bull Arena makes it a difficult one.
