GPL Week 29: Hearts of Oak brush off Medeama to stay top of table

Accra Hearts of Oak beat Medeama SC 2-0 to maintain their position on top of the Ghana Premier League table.

The game which was played at the Accra Sports Stadium saw the Phobians pick up three vital points.

Medeama after starting brilliantly allowed Hearts to score the first goal.

A tame effort from Ibrahim Salifu went under goalkeeper Frank Boateng to give Hearts a first half lead.

After the break the Phobians kept the pressure on Medeama and Benjamin Afutu scored in the 59th minute to make it 2-0 to Hearts.

This win takes Hearts three points above Kotoko who play Inter Allies on Monday, 14 June , 2021.
