The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has revealed that another major surge in Ghana’s coronavirus cases has been recorded again in barely 24 hours after the previous update, shooting the figures up from 10,358 to 10,856.
According to the Ghana Health Service, the number of recovered coronavirus patients have also increased with 97 more patients being declared free , making the numbers move from to 3921 from 3824.
There are no new deaths recorded yet. Therefore the number of active cases is around 6887, This indicates a sharp rise from the previously recorded 6486.
The Data from GHS also reveals that 16 of the active patients are in severe conditions while six are critically ill.
The were no new changes recorded in the regional breakdown as Greater Accra continues to maintain the lead as the region with the most recorded cases.
All 16 regions in the country so far have recorded at least one case.
