Chad’s national football team has arrived in Accra ahead of their highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ghana’s Black Stars. The match is set for Friday, March 21, 2025, at 19:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana currently shares the top spot in Group I with Comoros, both sitting on nine points after four matches. The Black Stars kicked off their campaign with a 1-0 win over Madagascar, suffered a setback against Comoros, but bounced back with consecutive victories against Mali and the Central African Republic.
Chad, sitting at the bottom of the table with just one point, is showing serious intent with their early arrival, hoping to upset the Black Stars on their home turf.
After facing Chad, Ghana will travel to Morocco for their next qualifier against Madagascar on March 24. Due to the unapproved status of Madagascar’s national stadium, the match has been relocated to Al Hoceima, Morocco.
The Black Stars are determined to secure maximum points in these fixtures to strengthen their position in the group and boost their chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The journey continues, and Ghana is ready to fight for a place on football’s biggest stage.
