Head coach of the Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Outtara, angrily expressed his disappointment in his team following a disappointing home defeat to Aduana FC.
The Rainbow boys welcomed the “Ogya” boys at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon as the Ghana Premier League draws to an end.
Kevin Obeng’s well-taken goal in the tenth minute of the game was enough to condemn the Phobians to yet another defeat in what has been an extremely disgraceful topflight campaign.
Coach Ouattara, in his post-match comments to StarTimes, lamented his side’s shambolic performance as he hoped they capitalized on an impressive 0-3 away win against Berekum Chelsea in their last matchday encounter.
“We didn’t have any motivation today. I don’t understand what happened. It was a disaster. I am completely disappointed. The keepers come out for nothing. The passes were bad. I do not understand these boys. Today you are good; tomorrow you are bad. Today is a very bad day. I don’t have anything to say.”
Hearts of Oak are now placed 12th in the league standings, three points away from the drop zone. Another loss will spell doom for Hearts as the likes of Great Olympics and Dreams FC (with three outstanding games) fight to secure a spot for the 2024–25 season.
