The distinguished Director General for the National Sports Authority (NSA), Richard Yaw Ampofo Ankrah’s career trajectory moves up another nudge.

An accomplished media practitioner, trained by the world-renowned British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), and a mentor to many, Mr. Ampofo Ankrah draws yet more plaudits.

Having carved a niche for himself as one of the best government leaders under the second administration of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, Mr. Ampofo Ankrah launched a book titled “The Power of Words.”

The launch took place at the Alisa Hotel on Thursday, January 8, 2026, which saw the pomp and pageantry on display and the caliber of industry personnel gracing the occasion.

“Words written, spoken, or engraved are things we shouldn’t take for granted,” said the NSA boss as he explained the motive behind his inspiring book while advising on the effects of words on one’s life.
