Emmanuel City Football Academy clinched the championship title in Zone 6 of the Greater Accra Division Two League, boasting the highest points accumulation in the zone.
Throughout the season, the standout team displayed exceptional prowess, prevailing over the majority of their competitors. According to the President of the club, Blessing Awuah Serwaa speaking on Max FM’s Sports Round Up on Saturday believes their qualification was divine.
Finishing atop the standings for GARFA 2022/23 Division Two League Zone 6 with 64 points, Emmanuel City sealed their victory with a 1-1 draw against the previous season’s champions, Validus Football Club, in the closing match held at Madina Zongo Astroturf.
Despite facing stiff competition, particularly from newly promoted Asanka Football Club, ECFA maintained their dominance.
Now, six teams have secured their berths in the Division Two Middle League, where they will vie for promotion to the 2023/24 Access Division One League from the Greater Accra Region, aiming to emerge as table-toppers in their respective zones.
