The Ashanti Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Emmanuel Teye Cudjoe, through the commissioning of the Police Hospital in Kumasi, has assured of the administration’s commitment to the wellbeing of their officers.
According to the DCOP, the facility would also reduce the risk or challenge of taking suspects to other medical facilities with armed guards.
The Director-General of Welfare of the Ghana Police Service, Commissioner of Police (COP) Iddi Lansah Seidu, revealed during the event on Thursday, June 5, that there had been numerous attempts to develop the facility of Accra’s likeness in other regions of the country.
Hon. Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka, the interior minister, commended the police administration for their efforts in setting up the structure which would create additional employment opportunities.
