On Tuesday, a supporter of Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, arrived at the Accra Sports stadium with a poster honoring the late footballer, Christian Atsu.
The unfortunate death of the former Black Stars footballer occurred in February as a result of the severe earthquake that struck Hatay, Turkey.
Atsu played 65 times for the Black Stars until his untimely death. In 2015, when Ghana reached the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, he was the tournament’s best player.
A Black Stars fan who is a passionate Atsu admirer made sure he was recognized as Ghana played Liberia in an international friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium in a video posted on social media.
