On August 26, 2024, Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku inaugurated the construction of a 40-bed accommodation facility at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Supported by the Executive Council, Congress delegates, former GFA officials, and the media, President Simeon-Okraku emphasized the project’s significance in upgrading the centre to international standards. Funded partly by World Cup 2022 allocations, the facility aims to enhance infrastructure for national teams and match hosting.
President Simeon-Okraku praised the government’s support and expressed gratitude to the Executive Council and Congress for their backing. He highlighted the project’s comprehensive nature, including the installation of floodlights, natural grass pitches, a gym, a swimming pool, and a futsal arena, as part of the centre’s significant upgrade.
These enhancements reflect the GFA’s commitment to advancing football infrastructure and supporting the development of national teams. The Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence will continue to play a vital role in nurturing football talent in Ghana.
