A helicopter belonging to the Ghana Armed Forces has crashed and burnt at Adansi Brofoyedu in the Ashanti Region.
Five unidentified occupants of the aircraft are feared dead after the helicopter went down on the morning of Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
The Ghana Armed Forces earlier issued a press release indicating that the aircraft, a Z9 helicopter, had gone missing under its radar while en route to Obuasi.
“After the crash, everything went silent. Residents who rushed to the scene found the helicopter in flames,” recounted Mathew Baah, an assembly member for the area.
