Multiple award winning Movie Director, Frank Fiifi Garbin says colleague, Fiifi Coleman is not taking a holistic approach to table the challenges affecting the movie industry.
This comes after Fiifi Coleman dismissed claims that the kumawood industry collapsed after “dumsor” hit the country.
He went further to state that Kumawood saw a downturn due to its one way “witches and wizards” storylines.
However, according to Garbin, Fiifi Coleman was not being truthful to Ghanaians.
Speaking in a phone interview with Max TV on e-Quick, last Friday, Garbin said the industry as a whole was hit by challenges including distribution and streaming challenges.
“We don’t have enough cinemas that you can make your money back. We don’t have distribution avenues. We don’t have streaming apps and all that. We have poor distribution and all that because of that Fiifi Coleman runaway from screen production to theater,” he said.
Gabbin denied the allegations that Kumawood storylines were one way and termed the statement made by Ghallywood actors and producers as fallacious.
