In a statement, the alumni group celebrated Mahama, a proud member of their fraternity, and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for what they described as a “momentous and resounding victory.” They expressed their joy and admiration, saying, “On the occasion of this momentous and resounding victory, we, on behalf of the Old Vandals fraternity, extend to H.E. Vandal John Dramani Mahama and the entire NDC family vandalistic, heartwarming, and inspiring felicitations.”
The group attributed the triumph to divine timing and voiced confidence in Mahama’s ability to address the challenges ahead. “The Almighty God is Great. He does things in His own ways and in His own time. We acknowledge the difficult tasks ahead. Nevertheless, we have utmost trust and confidence in your capabilities to turn things around in due course,” the statement added.
Reaffirming their unwavering support, the Old Vandals pledged to back the president-elect in his efforts to propel the nation forward. “We hold ourselves in readiness to support you to the brim. You can always count on us. Your success is ours, and ours is yours,” they assured.
The endorsement underscores the strong sense of solidarity and optimism within the alumni community as they anticipate Mahama’s leadership in addressing Ghana’s pressing challenges.
