A 45-year-old drinking spot owner is in serious trouble after the CID of the Ghana Police uncovered numerous cannabis-laced substances in a raid.
Millicent Asamoah Ampofo, the drinking spot owner, was arrested on November 4 and arraigned to appear before the Accra Circuit Court.
Madam Millicent faces a provisional charge of unlawful control of a narcotic drug following the bust operation.
The seized substances in the possession of the Police Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis were presented as evidence to the court.
The court presided over by Judge Kwabena Kodua Obiri-Yeboah granted Madam Millicent a GHS50,000 bail with one surety.
She named one “Richard”, based in Accra, as her supplier of the cannabis. The police have launched an intense search of the supplier in a bid to dismantle a much larger network.
