Dong Bortey Defends Didi; Slams Misfiring Strikers

Date:

Accra — The celebrated legend of Accra Hearts Oak, Bernard Dong Bortey, has leapt to the defence of head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.

The coach has recently come under pressure after two consecutive goalless draws in the 2025-26 Ghana Premier League.

Many had expected the Phobians to carry a winning run after an impressive Super Clash win over archrivals Asante Kotoko on matchday 24.

The one-time CAF Champions League winner explained on Max FM’s Sports Pack show that Didi Dramani is doing all he can to get the players firing.

“They [Hearts players] should assess themselves to figure out the problem. When you have a goal-king contender in Hamza Issah, and players like Paaku and Wayo, and things aren’t working, they [strikers] should wake up,” he said.
