The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, has ordered the closure of seven radio stations nationwide.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, February 18, he stated that the decision was made to enforce compliance with broadcasting regulations and national security requirements.
He added, “Today, in two separate cases, I have directed the National Communications Authority Ghana to suspend and enforce a prohibition of broadcast on a total of seven (7) radio stations.”
