Cherki predicts two French stars to battle for Ballon d’Or

Date:

Lyon star, Rayan Cherki, has predicted who wins this year’s Ballon d’Or.

The Frenchman is backing Real Madrid forward, Kylian Mbappe or Ousmane Dembele to win it.

He is of the opinion that the two France Internationals have been the very best in the game.

He believes they stand above Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Barcelona’s Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal.

The France International spoke to the media ahead of France vs Spain coming up on June 5.

Cherki said, however, that it is hard to choose between Dembelè and Mbappe.

“Ballon d’Or? The two best players in the world are French. Mbappé & Dembélé. It’s hard to choose one,” he said.

Dembele helped PSG to become only the second club to have won four trophies in a single season when they wrapped up their campaign with an emphatic 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final last Saturday.
