Black Galaxies head coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has expressed his satisfaction with the dedication and commitment demonstrated by his players as they gear up for the 2024 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers.
The Black Galaxies were drawn to face Nigeria in a two-legged qualifying tie, following the draw held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
The first leg is set to take place in Ghana between December 20-22, 2024, while the return leg will be hosted in Nigeria from December 27-29, 2024.
The victor of the tie will earn a spot in the 2024 CHAN tournament, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Coach Dramani expressed his pleasure with his team’s dedication during their preparation period.
“If it is about dedication, willpower, and discipline, this group has exhibited that at the highest possible level. Week in, week out, they are engaged in league matches, and each time we ask them to come and report at 12 o’clock, they diligently come in without hesitation.
“And with that alone, it means that they are really ready to commit, and they have been committing. They have been very, very consistent in their behavior,” Dramani stated.
The Black Galaxies previously secured qualification to the last CHAN tournament in Algeria after overcoming Nigeria in a dramatic post-match penalty shootout, following a 2-2 aggregate draw.
