President John Dramani Mahama has called for peace and unity to ensure the continuity and prosperity of Ghana.
At the forecourt of the State House on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, for the National Day for Prayer and Thanksgiving, H.E. Mahama urged against tribalism, religious extremism, and political hostility.
“We must build bridges, not barriers, for we are one people sharing one land and pursuing one identity and destiny,” he noted during his address before the dignified clergy, Islamic leaders, and invited dignitaries.
The president described the Republic Day, now National Prayer and Thanksgiving Day as a spiritual landmark in the country’s rich and proud history.
