The head coach of the Black Satellites of Ghana, Desmond Ofei, has achieved one of his targets before the start of the WAFU Zone B competition by securing a place at the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

A 2-1 victory over the Ivory Coast on Sunday, October 27, not only secured their AFCON berth but also advanced them to the final of the ongoing WAFU Zone championship in Togo.

Jerry Afriyie produced yet another Man of the Match performance after scoring a second-half penalty, which not only qualified the Black Satellites for the final, but also the 2025 AFCON for a chance at place at the World Cup.

The Black Satellites will take on Nigeria, who defeated Niger 3-1 in the second semi-final game played on Sunday, in the final.

Desmond Ofei and his boys will be targeting another gold medal after their success at the 2023 African Games.
