The Black Satellites of Ghana are aiming to cause a major upset at the ongoing 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana finished the preliminary stages on top of Group C and would face host country Egypt in the quarter-final of the competition.
With their sights set on qualifying for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup set to come off in September, Desmond Ofei and his charges appear to have an uphill task in overcoming the Egyptians.
“The game is a final. It is a golden ticket. Everybody wants this ticket, and I am sure the host nation will do anything in their ability to also win the game. But all in all, we [Ghana] have to show we are the better team,” said Ghana’s head coach, Ofei, in a pre-match presser.
A win for either side would mean an automatic qualification to the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup. The game kicks off at 15:00 hrs at the New Suez Stadium.
