Black Princesses Head to Kampala With 2-1 Lead

Date:

The Black Princesses head back to Kampala for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier with a 2-1 aggregate lead over Uganda.

Charles Sampson’s Princesses were stunned by Uganda’s only attempt on goal through Angies Nabukenya in the 32nd minute.

Ghana struggled with the physicality of the Ugandan girls as they pushed for an equaliser. Priscilla Mensah eventually levelled the score in the 56th minute.

Latifa Abesik secured the comeback win for the Black Princesses of Ghana ahead of the second leg on May 9 at the Vuga Kadiba Stadium.

A minimum of a draw will secure yet another appearance at the U-20 FIFA World Cup.
