Agbogbloshie-based Intabikman (135.8 LBS) handed sweetly humbled son of Ghanaian boxing legend Azumah Nelson, Dalvin Nelson (134.4 LBS), in a lightweight contest at the Bel 7 Star Professional Boxing League.
Nelson of the Palm Springs/Complex Gym threw in the towel at the end of round five of the contest, the second professional bout of his career.
Intabikman, who drew massive support to his side during the bout, landed a number of damaging punches on Nelson in round three, as he struggled to remain on his feet.
Boxing commentator, Prince Annang, lamented the referee Nathaniel Kotey’s failure to protect Nelson while he looked unbalanced on the canvas in the round.
Nelson, following his stunning defeat, claimed a headbutt to his right eye affected his rhythm.
