Veteran Kumawood actor Kofi Adu, known in the industry as Agya Koo, has encouraged young people seeking greener pastures to venture into agribusiness.
According to him, the teeming unemployment can be eradicated if youth embrace farming.
In a video that has since gone viral, the comic actor explained that traveling to seek greener pastures on a foreign land has no merit and advised youth to turn to their roots to look for lands and venture into farming.
“To all the young ladies and gentlemen currently living in Kumasi and Accra, I would advise you to go back to your villages and plead with your grandparents, parents, or uncles to give you a piece of land to farm. You can venture into maize farming, ginger farming, or cassava farming,” he said.
Agya Koo’s advice followed the price of roasted corn and believed there was money in the farming sector for youth to explore.
“I am almost at Konongo, and I was craving corn, so we decided to buy some. They sold it to us for GH¢5,” he added.
