The President of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has extended invitations to the public to submit tributes in honour of the August 6 crash victims.
All eight occupants of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Z9 helicopter that crashed into the forest of Adansi Akrofoum lost their lives when the aircraft burst into flames.
A statement signed by the spokesperson for the president and government communications provided avenues to which the tributes could be sent ahead of the state funeral.
Tributes are expected to be sent by Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 12 midday via email to tributes@prestelencv.RovRh before Friday, August 15, the day of the funeral.
With Alhaji Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed and Alhaji Muniru Mohammed buried on Sunday, August 11, the six others are Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Dr Samuel Sarpong, Samuel Aboagye, Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Mane-Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
