Former captain of the Black Stars of Ghana, Andre Dede Ayew, has called for a change in Ghana football.
The two-time AFCON silver medallist has been touted by many to be the man to challenge for the presidency of the Ghana Football Association.
The Ghanaian international disclosed that his focus now is on how football in Ghana can improve in the long run.
He was speaking to retired Nigerian international John Obi Mikel on his Obi One Podcast recorded in Ghana.
“We need to start now, not tomorrow. My focus is on how we can improve Ghana football. Questions about who will take over can come later.
I understand the local game, and I know things need to improve. We need to start somewhere and take steps forward.”
Andre, son of African football legend Abedi Pele and brother of current Ghana captain Jordan Ayew, still remains the only captain to have won the FIFA U-20 World Cup with an African country.
