Renowned artiste manager Nana Poku Ashis has described dancehall artiste Shatta Wale as arguably the biggest artiste in Ghana.

According to him, Shatta Wale enjoys genuine love and passion from the streets, which was evident at his ShattaFest 2026.

Speaking in an exclusive Zoom interview on the Max Morning Show on Monday, Nana Poku Ashis said the crowd Shatta Wale pulled to fill the stadium is one that even politicians would struggle to gather.

“Political parties would find it hard. They would have to bus people and provide transportation before they would get this number. It’s not even possible for political parties to gather this crowd. If Shatta Wale has been able to gather these people with his own voice, I will give it to him,” he said.

Comparing Shatta Wale to Stonebwoy, Nana Poku Ashis noted that Stonebwoy is more recognized internationally and is able to sell on the international market. However, when it comes to the streets of Ghana, Shatta Wale remains the most loved and biggest artiste.

“ Stonebwoy is the biggest Ghanaian artiste internationally, he has influence on the international market and is easily accepted. But on the streets, when it comes to Ghana, arguably we will give it to Shatta Wale,” he added.
