Sheffield United is expected to announce the captain of the Black Stars of Ghana as its newest signing.
Jordan Ayew, who has been clubless following the expiration of his contract with Leicester City, will join the Blades.
Ayew is known for eye-catching displays with his days at Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Swansea City in the Premier League a testament.
Renowned Ghanaian journalist Gary Al-Smith on Monday night disclosed the World Cup-capped player was joining “one of the Sheffield clubs.”
However, according to a report by English journalist Danny Hall, Sheffield head coach, Chris Wilder, sounded out a free agent forward— Ayew to add to his squad.
Wilder is looking for push back to the Premier League and with Ayew, he might as well have a decent chance of promotion.
Ayew joining the Blades materialised after Blackburn opted against signing the Ghanaian international, and also he turning down two clubs in Cyprus.
