Media personality Sally Frimpong Mann says Highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, known by his stage name, Daddy Lumba, died for his wife, Akosua Serwah Fosuh, to gain her freedom.

‎According to her, Akosua Serwah was a star who stayed back to make her husband shine in the industry.

‎Speaking in an exclusive interview with the gossip entertainment show on Max TV, eQuick in Accra on Wednesday, Sallymann noted that Akosua Serwah sacrificed her stardom to project her husband.

“This woman was able to sacrifice herself to sit back for her husband to lead, and eventually he went for another woman to have seven children with her. You know I am a Bible girl and would never support anyone who becomes a side chick or dates somebody’s husband,” she said.

‎Sallymann observed that many women of today would not be able to sacrifice what Akosua Serwah sacrificed, stressing that she even shielded her husband to protect his brand when he was cheating.

‎She maintained that she had not lived through Maame Akosua Serwah’s situation, but she was not immune to her pain to back a mistress.

‎Sallymann said Lumba dedicated more than 30 per cent of his songs to promoting his wife, and that depicted that Akosua Serwah was a star, and she went further to cite how the world was celebrating the woman, which to her meant that her husband died for her to gain her freedom.

‎”Jesus Christ died for us to gain our freedom. As much as you don’t pray for a person who sat on your happiness to die, but when that person dies, you gain your freedom because some death benefits others,” she added.
