Cape Verde Targets Spain’s Scalp Live On Max TV

Date:

Cape Verde is set to write a historic chapter in its football journey as it plays its first-ever World Cup match against Spain, one of the tournament’s biggest favorites to lift the trophy.

The “Blue Sharks” punched their ticket to the finals after a remarkable qualifying campaign, highlighted by eliminating Cameroon. For their debut on the world stage, they’ll face a highly ambitious Spanish squad.

This fixture, part of the Group H curtain-raiser, will be held at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Saudi Arabia and Uruguay round out the group.

FIFA has appointed Jordanian referee Adham Makhadmeh to officiate the match. He’ll be assisted by Mohammad Al-Kalaf and Ahmad Al-Rawashdeh, with Alexander Guzman in charge of VAR duties.

The match kicks off live on Max TV at 16:00 GMT.
