Port City goalkeeper’s coach Richard Attah has confidently made an astonishing claim regarding his legacy as a goalkeeper in the Ghana Premier League (GPL).

Well, according to Attah, neither Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare is better than him nor was the great Sammy Adjei able to achieve his record.

Speaking after Port City gained promotion to next season’s GPL, Attah noted that he holds the enviable record of being the only goalkeeper to have won the league and FA Cup in the same season.

“On record there has been no keeper like me in the last ten years. I have won everything now. Even Kotoko has never scored past me in goal,” he said to Mohammed Shaban.

Attah, who won most laurels with his former team Hearts of Oak, was often criticised for his weight and sometimes his form in goal.

He won the league and FA Cup double with the Phobians in the 2020/21 season under the leadership of now-Berekum Chelsea head coach Samuel Boadu.
