NAIMOS Team Member Dies In Car Crash

The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources is mourning the demise of a member of a team of five of the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS).

The NAIMOS team was involved in a fatal motor accident on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, near the Obuasi Airport in the Ashanti Region.

According to an official statement from the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, the team was on the way to undertake a major anti-galamsey operation.

The identity of the dead officer has not been revealed, as the rest are currently receiving medical attention.

Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, has expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased member.
