As part of his campaign promise of giving Ghana’s sporting landscape a massive uplift, President John Dramani Mahama will ensure development reaches unserved parts of the country.
During the recent 32nd GFA Ordinary Congress, Sports Minister Hon. Kofi Adams announced the president’s commitment to the construction of ten mini stadia across the country.
This, according to Hon. Adams, highlights the president’s seriousness in improving Ghana’s sporting infrastructure to the CAF-certified level.
The ten mini stadia, each of which would have a training pitch and the main pitch, also facilitate other sporting disciplines and not just football.
“These ten mini stadia are not for one sport. It is a platform where as many sports as possible would be practiced.
“Each stadium will have at least two football pitches. One for training and one for actual competition.”
