Public Health Physician Specialist Dr Ewura Adjoa Ahimah Nunoo has debunked claims that men sucking the breasts of women aids in breast cancer prevention.

According to her, the act has no health impacts on women aside from pleasure.

Ewura Adjoa revealed this during an exclusive interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Tuesday.

“The breast was not designed for men to suck it. It just causes pleasure. The main job of the breast is to breastfeed a baby. That is the function of the breast,” she stated.

Ewura Adjoa further advocated for women to breastfeed their children, stressing that it was key in dropping hormones which cancer fed on to reduce the risk of women having breast cancer.

‎”The reason breastfeeding prevents breast cancer is that the hormones drop during breastfeed that’s why we are advocating for breastfeeding. But a man sucking the breast does nothing to prevent it. It doesn’t even have any health impacts except for pleasure,” she added.
