‎The lack of cinema halls rendering filmmaking unproductive— Ricky Adelayitar

Date:

Renowned Veteran actor, Ricky Adelayitar, has expressed the need for the government to support the movie industry with more cinema halls to make the sector attractive for investors.‎

‎According to him, the industry is not flourishing as it should due to some basic needs the industry is lacking.

‎Speaking on the sidelines of the industry in an exclusive interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Friday, Adelayitar vehemently denied that the industry has not collapsed.

‎”Writers are still writing good stories, producers are still producing good movies so it has not collapsed. The only problem we are facing in Ghana is, we are not creating an enabling environment to attract investors to invest into our crafts with an assurance of them gaining something in return,” he lamented.

‎In helping create an environment that investors could thrive demanded the government to build Cinema halls across the country in every region and district.

‎”There’s no enough film halls. We need film halls all over the country- in every region or district so that when you’re a producer, after producing a movie from here to here you can get your money. This is the only way it will attract investors to push money into filmmaking,” he said.
