Black Damsels to face Uganda in CAF ASFC final

Date:

The Black Damsels of Ghana have booked their spot in the final of the third edition of the CAF African Schools Football Championship.

What a match fans witnessed at the University of Ghana Stadium! A five-goal thriller in the semi-final of the girls’ category of the championship as Ghana knocked out defending champions, South Africa.

Jennifer Awuku extended her goal tally for Ghana just seven minutes into the match. Lisa Kayanka brought the South Africans level just before halftime.

Captain of the Black Damsels, Hajara Adam, scored from nearly the centre line two minutes after halftime—a goal that would make Cristiano Ronaldo smile.

Rahama Mohammed extended the lead for Ghana with a beautiful curler in the 29th minute, but South Africa managed to reduce the deficit.

The Damsels held on to advance to the final for a clash with Uganda on Saturday, April 26.
