UEW Student Allegedly Dies by Suicide Over Heartbreak

Date:

A Level 100 student at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has allegedly committed suicide after discovering that his girlfriend had been unfaithful, in what many are describing as a tragic case of emotional breakdown.

According to reports, the UEW student suicide incident occurred on Wednesday, April 16, when the young man was said to have hanged himself shortly after the shocking discovery.

Eyewitnesses claim that the student collapsed in distress after unexpectedly walking in on his girlfriend in an intimate situation with another individual at GUSSS Hall Two, a residence located on the Winneba campus.

Sources suggest that the emotional trauma from the incident may have led him to take his own life shortly afterward.

The body of the deceased has been retrieved and is currently in the custody of the Winneba District Police Command, which has commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

This tragic UEW student suicide has sparked discussions on mental health and emotional support for students, especially first-year students navigating academic and social pressures.
